​Ariel Cubria's music is a rich blend of various styles he has encountered throughout his career, including jazz, pop, rock, bolero, and the traditional music of his home country, Cuba. 
He began performing his songs in 1988, participating in festivals for young creators in Havana, his hometown. Over time, he developed his skills as a guitarist, which allowed him to engage in various projects alongside his music career.

In 1998, Cubria moved to Madrid, where he worked as a guitarist, contributing to recordings and tours with renowned artists such as Gloria Gaynor, Marta Sánchez, Snowy White (of Pink Floyd fame), Gema Corredera, Betty Missiego, Olga Guillot, Nuno Dacamara Pereira, Rita Irasema, and Inma Serrano, among others. 
With his band that specializes in "Smooth Latin Jazz," he toured extensively across Spain, sharing the stage with prominent artists.

In 2005, he worked as a guitarist in the musical "The Man of La Mancha" at the Calderón Theatre in Madrid. That same year, he composed the music for the Pulitzer Prize-winning play "Anna in the Tropics," by the director Nilo Cruz.

In 2007, he relocated to Buenos Aires, where he primarily worked as a session musician on various projects. He also recorded his first solo album, "Lo Que Vale de Ti," featuring unique collaborations, including with American pianist and composer Bob Telson.

In 2011, Cubria settled in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he collaborated as a musician, arranger, composer, and producer on projects such as Stringsi, led by composer and violinist Vlado Batista; the legendary songwriter Vlado Kreslin; the Croatian salsa band Cubismo; the famous pop-folk band Modrijani; singer and flautist Tinkara Kovač; accordionist and composer Jure Tori; pop singer Neisha; and legendary rock singer Peter Lovšin. He also participated as a musician and arranger in various films, including the documentaries "Batana" and "Lipica" with the Slovenian National Radio and TV Orchestra, as well as the movie "Alejandra". 

In 2016, he moved to London, collaborating with numerous bands and artists, including the pianist Sara McGuinness, Roberto Pla Latin Ensemble, Eli & La Evolution, Unnati Dasgupta, Adriana Blu, Nolita Golding, and Alex Wilson, among others.
He composed the music for several short films, such as "Ticked Off" (by Alexandria Doyle) and "Thou Shalt Not Seduce Nunces" and "El Bananero"(by Jean-Paul Arroyave, Film LOCOS), as well as the music for the theatre play "Super Chefs" (by Betsy Picart, Maya Productions). 
He also contributed additional music for the films "Mister Mayfair" (by Philippe Martinez, MRS Media) and "The A-Frame" (by Calvin Reeder).

As a production music composer, Cubria writes music for various libraries, including Sparse Music, Twisted Jukebox, Score Keepers, Perfect Score, GPS Songs, 10 West Music, Shallam Music, Reel Note Music, Hollywood Trax, and Groove Tower Music.

​Ariel Cubría mezcla en sus canciones algo de cada uno de los estilos musicales por los que ha transitado a lo largo de su carrera. Desde el jazz, el pop y el rock hasta el bolero y la música de su pais, Cuba.

​Comenzó a interpretar sus temas en el año 1988 participando en festivales de jóvenes creadores de La Habana, su ciudad natal y muy pronto desarrolló también su faceta de guitarrísta que le permitió enrolarse en otros proyectos, algo que ha seguido haciendo paralelamente a su propia música.

En 1998 se establece en Madrid y colabora como guitarrista en grabaciones y giras con diversos artistas como: Gloria Gaynor, Marta Sanchez, Snowy White (Pink Floyd), Gema Corredera, Betty Missiego, Olga Guillot, Nuno Dacamara Pereira, Rita Irasema, Inma Serrano  entre otros.
Con su banda, con la que desarrolla un sonido “Smooth Jazz Latino“, recorre gran parte de la geografía española y comparte escenario con importantes artistas.
Ha actuado en diversas ciudades alrededor del mundo como: NewYork, Londres, BuenosAires, lisboa, Oporto, Madrid, Barcelona, Niza, Ljubljana, Roma, Milan, Frankfurt, Viena, Hamburg etc...

En el año 2005 participa como guitarrista en el musical El Hombre de La Mancha en el teatro Calderón de Madrid y compone la música de la obra teatral Ana en el Trópico (ganadora del Pulitzer), por la que recibe una nominación a los premios Max. 


​En  2007 se traslada a Buenos Aires, donde trabaja principalmente como músico de sesión en diferentes proyectos discográficos y graba su primer disco solísta “LO QUE VALE DE TI“ con colaboraciones especiales como la del pianista y compositor Bob Telson (nominado al Oscar por la música del filme Bagdad Café).

​En el año 2011 se estableció en Ljubljana, Eslovenia, donde ha colaborado como músico, compositor, arreglísta y productor en proyectos de artistas como el violinista y compositor Vlado Batista & Stringsi, la flautísta y cantante Tinkara Kovač, el legendario cantautor Vlado Kreslin, la popular banda pop folk Modrijani, La banda de salsa croata Cubismo, el acordeonista y compositor Jure Tori, la cantante pop Neisha, el legendario rockero Peter Lovšin entre otros.
Ha particpado como músico y arreglísta en diferentes proyectos audiovisuales como los documentales Batana y Lipica, con la orquesta de la Radio y TV de Eslovenia y la película Alejandra, un relato sobre la vida de la escritora argentino eslovena Alejandra Laurenchic.
​Desde agosto del 2016 reside en Londres, donde ha compuesto la música del corto Ticked Off y colabora con diferentes bandas y artistas de las escena musical londinense como, Son Yambú, Sara McGinnes, Eli & La Evolution, Nolita Golding, Unnati Dasgupta, Adriana Blu,  Roberto Pla Latin Ensemble, Alex Wilson, entre otros.
